₹1.6 Crore Banned Synthetic Drug Seized in Nacharam Raid, One Arrested

A joint team of the Excise State Task Force and the Drug Control Administration arrested a man and seized 5.860 kilograms of the banned synthetic drug N-Benzylpiperazine, valued at approximately ₹1.6 crore, during a raid in the Nacharam area of Hyderabad on Tuesday.

The law enforcement operation was carried out directly at the business premises of Haima Synthesis Private Limited, which is a chemical trading company located in Nacharam.

During their detailed inspection of the chemical company's premises, officials discovered that N-Benzylpiperazine was allegedly being sold to buyers. The chemical is a psychotropic substance that is strictly prohibited under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.

Following the discovery, a total of 5.860 kilograms of the illegal synthetic drug was seized by the joint team. A case has been registered against Mudigonda Eshwar, who is associated with Haima Synthesis Private Limited, for the unauthorized sale and distribution of the prohibited substance.

Preliminary investigations conducted by the joint task force and drug control officials revealed that the banned synthetic drug was being sourced from the state of Gujarat. Once procured, the substance was being actively supplied to distribution networks in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Mumbai.

Excise and drug control officials stated that N-Benzylpiperazine is a controlled psychotropic substance under the NDPS Act. Under this legislation, any unauthorized manufacture, possession, purchase, sale, or transportation of the substance is a severe, punishable offense.

Both the accused individual, Mudigonda Eshwar, and the seized haul of synthetic drugs have been officially handed over to the Nacharam Excise Station for further legal action and processing.

Local authorities have confirmed that a deeper investigation is currently underway to trace the full extent of the supply chain and identify any other individuals involved in the illegal drug network.
